I think either rubber bands or vibration dampeners do the job. But my biggest problem with the vibration dampeners is that they keep falling off the rackets. Even the factory supplied kind that comes with the racket. Then you waste time looking for them, if you can find them. I can have those things popping out of my racket several times a session.

WhatsApp: +86 18221755073The effect of dampeners can be compared to the placebo effect. The players who believe in the influence of the vibration dampener will perceive a changed feeling of play with it. Nevertheless, there is one point on which everyone agrees. A vibration dampener ensures that the sound of the string is reduced when it comes into contact with the ball.
WhatsApp: +86 18221755073The purpose of a vibration dampener is to reduce the shock during contact caused by the tennis ball hitting the racquet strings. This mainly affect two aspects: the feel and sound of the stringbed. The dampener mutes the feel, meaning you feel less impact. For new players, this is great as the irritating feel of mis-hits is muted.

WhatsApp: +86 18221755073Forgot to mention that this will feel very dampened depending on the rubber-band you use as well.If it's small, chances are it will be on pretty tight and offer a very dampened feel. Also, the more stretched out the "dampener" is, the more dampened-ness it will offer and same thing if it is high up next to your bottom-most cross.
WhatsApp: +86 18221755073i weave the rubberband on 6 mains, just like the worm dampeners, i like it better like that, more sound dampening IMO you can have rubberbands on all 4 sides of the racquet as long as you do not enter the crossed section of the strings, see if that dampens the vibration enough to notise
WhatsApp: +86 18221755073dampener does nothing but affect the sound on the racquet. if you're having problems with the damp flying out, go with the rubberband, its tied in. if you're not having problems with the damp flying out, still use the rubberband as its way cheaper and feels better than most damps out there. All this nonsense about no damps being boardy is nonsense.

WhatsApp: +86 18221755073That looks cool Kevo. I will try that out. I tend to loose string dampers frequently due to the way I hit with pace and topspin. String dampers will always pop right out and end up loosing them. The rubberband dampers stay on more securely. I'll give your method a try to see if it will pop out compared to the traditional rubberband damper method.

WhatsApp: +86 18221755073I've NEVER shyed away since. And I'm constantly promoting it that it works just as well as any other vibration dampener. I love it!
